1. What these terms cover
These terms apply when you buy an estate plan through The Income Standard ("TIS"). You pay one all-in price per plan, shown in Section 2. That price covers document preparation, the standard attorney review of your documents, and TIS's facilitation of your plan from start to signing.
Who does what. TIS guides you through the process and answers your questions. Your documents are prepared on the Estate Guru platform and reviewed and approved by a licensed attorney before they are issued to you. TIS is not a law firm and does not give legal advice or prepare legal documents itself.
What you receive. A trust plan includes a revocable living trust, certification of trust, pour-over wills, a comprehensive transfer document, a community property agreement and a schedule of assets. A will-only plan includes your will. Each deed is prepared for one property.
2. Pricing
Each price is a single flat amount. It is charged once, at checkout, and covers everything described in Section 1.
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Trust plan (single or joint) | $1,699 |
| Married couple, separate trusts | $2,799 per couple |
| Will only | $749 |
| Deed | $399 per property |
| Financial and healthcare powers of attorney | Free |
The powers of attorney are free with any plan or review. The healthcare power of attorney includes a living will, medical directives and a HIPAA release. No purchase is required to receive them.
Attorney fees. In a small number of cases, your situation needs a live attorney review beyond the standard review. Those fees are set by the attorney, are not included in your TIS price, and are paid by you directly to the attorney.
3. Refunds and cancellation
You can request a full refund within 30 days after your documents are prepared and reach "Ready to Sign" status. TIS has no subscription, so there are no cancellation fees and nothing renews.
- How to request: contact TIS in writing within the 30 days. TIS will confirm the refund by email.
- Printed documents: if documents were shipped to you, they must be returned before the refund is processed.
- After a refund: your plan is closed and your online access to the documents ends. Do not rely on the documents after a refund.
- After 30 days: the purchase is final.
This refund window follows the one used by the platform that prepares your documents.
4. Attorney review and no legal advice
Every document is reviewed and approved by a licensed attorney before it is issued to you. Your documents are not final until that approval is complete.
TIS is not a law firm. TIS staff and advisors do not give legal advice, and nothing TIS says in a meeting, email or presentation is legal advice. Questions about what a document means or how the law applies to you should go to the reviewing attorney. If your situation is complex, the attorney may ask for additional information or recommend a live review.
Your documents are based on the information you provide. Please make sure it is accurate and complete.
5. Your information and general terms
Your information. TIS and the platform that prepares your documents use the information you provide to prepare your plan and to contact you about it. Your information is shared with the reviewing attorney and with TIS's licensed advisor. TIS does not sell it. See the TIS Privacy Policy.
Contacting your family. TIS will not contact your beneficiaries or family members about your plan unless you have agreed to it.
Changes. TIS may update these terms. The version in effect when you purchase applies to your plan.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
